We will increase prices 20% for all items from May 15.
First of all, 4U would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your great support . With more than two decades of manufacturing experience in Taiwan and China. 4U has become one of the most important suppliers in connector industrial field. In the past few months, the pricng of raw material market has been huge increasing rapidly which includes copper alloy, gold and plastic materials. 4U tries to do our best to keep our sales prices unchanged within one year, however it becomes impossible mission.. Now, we are forced to increase prices 20% for all items due to the above reasons. The NEW prices would be effective starting on May 15. Even we decide to do these changes, we do believe that all our sales prices are still the most competitive in the connectors world-wide market.
Anyhow, we are really sorry to inform you the above unexpected information. Hopefully this temporary policy won't cause you too much inconvenience.
After the pricing of raw material market returns to be under controlled level, 4U will advise you immediately what action 4U likes to take and what benefit or advantage you would get. ROHS Issue |
In response to the RoHS Directive set out by the European Union, most electrical and electronic products entering the EU market as of 2006/7/1 cannot contain mercury, cadmium, lead, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE). Along with EU, America, Japan and other major countries are starting to set green products related laws for product importation. Even though the RoHS requriements do
not set out detailed standards, 4U is taking actions to modify our products to fit the RoHS standards and do our part to protect the environment.

Credit card payment form modification notice! |

Choosing a Shipping Method Right for You |
4U would like to say a "Thank You!" to all the customers who have given us so much support. it is because of you that we are able to grow and improve as a company and as an online service.
Recently, many customers have inquired about choosing a suitable shipping method for their orders; thinking about the shipping time and costs. To better assist you with your shipping decision, please take a moment to look over our recommendations:
*500kgs or above- Ship by Sea
The shipping time will differ depending on the vehicle and country. Transportation may be as fast as 2 weeks, or as long as 1~2 months. When your order exceeds 500kgs (the weight is for reference only, orders under may still be suitable to ship by sea), shipping by sea may be the most cost efficient method. Please contact your forwarder to request an actual transportation quotation. If you do not have a forwarder, 4U can also recommend one or inquire for you.
*100kgs or above- Ship by Air
Shipping by air is much faster than by sea. The transportation time differs depending on destination. When your order exceeds 100kgs (the weight is for reference only, orders under may still be suitable to ship by air) and you wish to receive the order faster, using air shipment may be the most suitable choice (Please contact your forwarder to request an actual transportation quotation. If you do not have a forwarder, 4U can also recommend one or inquire for you).
*Below 100kgs - Express Delivery
Express delivery is suitable for orders below 100kgs and has the fastest delivery time. You can use an international express delivery service with whom you have a working contract with by providing 4U with the account number. Another option is to use one of the two express transportation companies that 4U cooperates with.
1.GDA Company: If your delivery address is in Asia, or your shipment is smaller than 3 kg, we suggest using GDA service because it is less expensive.
2.DHL Company:If you are shipping to North America, DHL will be more economical.
*20kgs or below - Ship by EMS or Air Parcel
EMS and Air Parcel are two services provided by the Taiwan postal service - Chunghwa Post. EMS is the faster of the two services; of course, the cost is also higher. It is suitable for orders 20kgs or below. For information on the serviced destinations and transportation costs, please click on the links below.
*2kgs or below - ship by Air Mail
Air Mail is usually suitable for small order deliveries and are limited to 2kgs or below. It is also a service provided by the Taiwan post office. For information on the serviced destinations and transportation costs, please click on the link below.

4U-Shipping Information Changed Advise |
Due to the import tax laws of different countries, we often receive requests from customers to modify the invoice product amounts or exclude shipping(or any other) costs. In order to better meet customer needs, starting on 2004/11/15, all 4U exporting documents will only show the product costs. No transportation cost or other special costs will be shown. If you would like to request changes to your invoice, or feel that this new invoicing method to be of inconvenience, please contact us. We will do our best to meet your needs.

IBS TEMPORARILY STOPPING ADVICE |
Starting August 12, 2004, 4UCON will be temporarily stopping the internet billing service (IBS) for an upgrade which will help us better serve our customers.During this time, order payments can still be made through all other options ( payal or credit card via fax way).
